On October 31, 2023, we reacted on GLOSM3 account on X that is now deactivated.

We posted a photo showing the then Israeli ambassador to the UN, Gilad Menashe Erdan wearing the yellow David-star but reads "Never Again" instead Jewish but in the German language,

A comment added to the photo made clear that his action is exploiting the Holocaust.

A few days later we saw the Israelis en mass using the yellow ribbon on profiles of their social media accounts and on plancards.

The Israelis used the yellow ribbon for the first time during the 2008-2009 Gaza War, and was a symbol of hope  to have the Israeli occupation soldier Gilad Shalit free who was held captive for five years in the Gaza Strip by Hamas.

In March 2022, we saw the ribbon used by activists in regions of Ukraine occupied by Russia. Photos and videos activists took showed flyers and leafets with the yellow ribbon as the name of a activist group in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts
